Malcolm McLaren

Today I’m thinking just how different my life would have been without this man. I was a year or two too young for the Sex Pistols, only catching up at the fag-end of the punk explosion. The legacy, however, was very much in my time, and I’m glad I was there. He caused a revolution, and in its wake thousands of kids, me included, joined a band and did it for themselves. Probably rock ‘n’ roll’s last gasp. Back when pop music mattered.
